Browser problems made it difficult to update my page from home; here I am back at the library getting caught up.
Commodities: I hope you cashed out of March Rough Rice in time, or rolled over to the May contract. Palladium? I really missed the ball on that one. I just couldn't believe that the meager peaks in January and early February were a distribution top, but hindsight indicates they must have been. Hopefully you cashed out without a loss, but since the June contract hit a new 5-year low today, if you can roll over your contract, do it now; it will eventually be on its way back up. May OJ never completed its 1-2-3 bottom formation, so it could go anywhere at this point, but since I bought (on paper) one contract a week ago Friday, filled at 87.50, I'm going to hold on for the inevitable rise.
My contract work is over for the time being, and I now have enough cash to build the main structure of the prototype geodesic dome I've been planning. So I won't be taking on any new jobs this year unless they're really big buck$.
Over the last 2 weeks I bought a D-link wireless router, and an Epox EWL-C11 NIC; I can't get the Epox working under Win95 nor Linux. I've got an email into epox support for Win95, and I'm going to do more research on the Linux issues. I did solve one little glibc compatibility problem by linking the wlan-ng package statically on my wife's machine to run on my laptop; the secret is to edit the config.mk file after 'make config' and change 'gcc' to 'gcc -static'. I also changed 'ld' to 'ld -Bstatic' but don't think that was really necessary.
